Founded by jam band Magic Beans, the Beanstalk Music Festival is more than just a concert. The lineup this year includes heavy-duty prog rock from Lespecial, roots rock from the Runaway Grooms and a bluegrass party featuring Pickin’ on the Dead.
Bravo! Vail’s musical powerhouse is expanding its lineup in a global way this season. Its three-day residency in June will feature Mexico’s Sinfonica de Mineria, a well-respected ensemble that’s mostly unknown to Boulder audiences. This year’s festival also features three big orchestras, with Dallas playing Anna Clyne’s “Atlas” under music director Fabio Luisi on June 26-July 1; Philadelphia performing Gershwin and Bernstein under Marin Alsop on July 4-12; and the Philharmonic’s very big night of Beethoven led by music director Peter Oundjian on July 12.
This free summer concert series is offered Friday nights at Mountain Village’s Reflection Plaza. The performances benefit Amp the Cause, a nonprofit that supports local music programs.
